Today I took the plunge and reserved my website domain www.meredithhutton79.com and redirected my Google blog to my new website. Mainly I’ve done this so that I can post my website link on social media, which right now I’m not able to because my blog is the free version, which means the word Blogspot is in my web address. That makes it a no-no posting it to Facebook or Instagram because they classify it as spam, even if a real person is posting for legitimate reasons. I think my blog will do a lot better if I have my custom website address that I am able to post and share, without it triggering the policy police.
I think my website/blog has a lot of potential. I’ve gotten good feedback and I’m often stopped by people in the community to tell me they are enjoying the posts and learning about chronic pain is helping them understand pain better, which helps them understand themselves or a loved one who is suffering from chronic pain.
There’s so much I want to accomplish with this and grow as a business. I plan on creating a pain tracker and journal that addresses both tracking your pain and the mental effects on you. This creation will be a labor of love and be everything that I’ve ever wanted in a pain tracker. It’s going to be colourful, a useful resource, and become a comforting and treasured keepsake. By combining my chronic pain tracking/rating and a journaling component related to that pain tracking, I hope to inspire my fellow Spoonies into creating a snapshot into their lives..
