UPDATED LinkedIn Banner (1)

I am excited to announce the new branding of my formerly unnamed blog to "It's Complex".

"It's Complex" is also going to be expanding to create a video version of my blog, and will be the name of my YouTube show that I am currently in the beginning stages of creating.

My chronic pain driven online content needed a name that could simply summarize what life is like when you live with chronic pain, in as few words as possible. "It's Complex" was the first thing to come to mind, and despite other ideas, my initial choice kind of stuck.

The only thing I'm toying with now is if it's going to be "It's Complex", or "It's Compl3x". It seems fitting that the word complex looks complex, given the complexities of chronic pain, but I'm not sure if that would complicate things for search engines and such.

As my followers, what are your thoughts on my branding with this name change/addition? Spell it with an "e" or a "3"?

Follow me, on my creative journey where I continually aim to inspire and nurture the human spirit by cultivating a thriving life, engaging in what ignites passion, and where personal growth is celebrated, even with chronic pain. I'm doing this by creating new products and online content that focus on both my experience with chronic pain and my creativity, which I use to cope. I will be sharing my personal experiences on how I navigate chronic pain and I am eager to bring my story to the world. I created meredithhutton79 Chronic Creative Lifestyle Management, to merge these two passions and bring to you unique and useful products and online content relevant to living with chronic pain in today's fast paced and overwhelming world.

Are you or someone you know struggling with chronic pain?  Do you feel like it's ruling your life, dictating what you can and can't do? Having to decide what you can and can’t do and struggling with brain fog during daily household and personal tasks and chores. You're definitely not alone. I have to work very hard at this each day. It seems like I’m always doing something to manage and reduce the pain and finding some way to help me cope. It's hard to forget about it when it's always there, needing to be managed. So with the level of pain I’m in, it feels like a full time job. Correction, it is a full time job. And I have to be very organized. I have my pill reminders, appointment reminders, pacing reminders so I don't crash, number of spoons this task will use and how many I've got left, self care reminders, on top of daily household tasks, chores and maintenance. Most days it feels like I can’t keep up. To help with that, basically each day I follow a pattern of tasks, chores and activities, prompted by my Alexa. All day, from prompt and activity to the next, any commitments I’ve made, and I'm thinking about consequences of doing this or that and asking myself if I can manage it…And finding time for working on my new business and self care, it’s a balancing act that takes up a lot of my personal time. There has to be an easier way to manage the household day to day tasks without overdoing it.

Millions of people just like you are searching for ways to manage their pain and day to day tasks and live fuller lives.  And that's where I come in.

I'm slowly building a supportive and inclusive community dedicated to helping people just like us understand, manage, and live with their pain.

I would love to share these more personal, important topics, in a smaller, personal and more private way. I’ve started a small, private Facebook Group for those on Galiano Island suffering with chronic pain, where we can share those more personal aspects with others who get it and be a part of something bigger, like a supportive group of individuals who need no words to understand your pain. What are your thoughts on this? Would you be interested in joining a private Facebook Group where you'll find others struggling just like you? Locals, would you be interested in being a part of an in-person support group here on Galiano?
