When you suffer from chronic pain, your self esteem and self worth are challenged and your self love can take a downward turn. You can’t do the things that you used to do that you thought defined you as an able-bodied person, and that can lead you into a revolving cycle of grieving what you’ve lost and feelings of worthlessness and despair.
