Cre8 Gloassworks Updated Studio Poster
This post was originally posted on Blogger September 10, 2024.
Normally I am a vendor at our local Saturday Market, which runs from May to October every year. I’ve done it every year since 2018. The great thing about doing the market is the people you meet and see other artists, farmers and food vendors, on a regular basis. Engaging with other vendors and people in the community is enjoyable, and it is a big part of how I made some friends here and have gotten to know people in the community.
One of those people is the kind and talented Kathleen Buckley, an amazing local glassblower who specializes in original pipes, mini jars, earring and pendants, and other cool things like dabbers and marbles. We admire each other’s craft and passion for that craft, and it has led to a mutually beneficial artistic relationship.
Going back a few years now, is when Kathleen approached me at the market, and asked if I’d be willing to help her create a studio poster, based on her ideas and sort of wishlist for what she wanted incorporated into it. Out of that, 2 versions of the same studio poster were created. I did all the printing and laminating for Kathleen as well. A full package deal. I framed the originals of each poster for Kathleen to display in her shop and creative space.
Fast forward to 2023’s market season beginning, and Kathleen asked if I’d be up for creating another studio poster version. Unfortunately, that was when my mental breakdown was gaining momentum, and I stopped doing the market. I gave this year’s market a miss too, to continue to focus on my mental health. Unfortunately this meant that Kathleen’s studio poster was on hold.
For the last year and a half I have focused on myself, and worked hard at coming back from such a devastating blow to my mental health.
Last week I got out the new version of the studio poster I had started, and I finished it. I created a nice package for Kathleen, with printing and laminating her new studio posters, and created vinyl stickers and holographic stickers and photo cards of her new poster, in various sizes.
I am thrilled that Kathleen is very enthusiastic about her new poster, and was beyond excited I now offer stickers. Instead of getting dropshipping company to do it, and waiting for them to be shipped, worrying about minimum orders, etc. Kathleen can get them printed locally, in smaller batches, for a fair price. And because Kathleen is so rad, I even deliver them.
Thank you Kathleen for entrusting me with your brand and artist identity! I respect and admire her as an artist, who has such amazing talent and a big heart. It is an honor to work with someone so creative and passionate about their work.
If anyone is looking to have custom stickers made, don’t hesitate to contact me. To start I am offering white vinyl and holographic stickers. I have a professional quality printer that can do amazing things and offer competitive pricing.
Thanks to my family, friends and supporters…It’s so good to be getting back into my creative process!
