A Very Late Sunday's Quotes To Inspire Your Week

Phew! I am exhausted! The last 2 weekends have been really busy with the kids both graduating this year and with my limited physical energy and limited mental bandwidth for big events, and my ongoing pain flare, they have taken a lot out of me. It's taken me almost 3 days to recover, hence my being late with this week's quotes.

Two Saturday's ago, Paul, Rhys and I went over to Saltspring for the Scholarships and Awards ceremony at their highschool. Rhys got 2 scholarships and it was a lovely day, but there was a lot of walking, and we had to take the water taxi there and back, so for me it was a very tiring day. Very worth it, but tiring.

Then this last Saturday the whole family and our best friends went over to Saltspring for the grad ceremony and it was also quite the day. We took the water taxi there and back again. Everyone looked very good all dressed up in their grad gowns and Kiersten looked stunning. She had amazing makeup and custom nails she did for herself, and her dress was gorgeous. I hooted and woohoo’d when her name was called. Rhys, who is very shy, did not go to the grad ceremony and his teachers put something together for him to present his diploma yesterday. I think it’s really great that they recognize everyone has different comfort levels of things and that there was no pressure for him to attend, yet he will still be celebrated.

Rhys is off to university in the fall for his Bachelors of Science with a focus in entomology. He is going to be living with my mom and Paul while he goes to school. Kiersten is starting beauty school and is doing a program for doing nails and nail art. It’s so great they know what they want. Rhys has been into bugs since he was a toddler and since grade school has wanted to be an entomologist. Kiersten loves anything hair, make up and nails and I have no doubt both of them will succeed in their studies.

We are so proud of both the kids and to honour their graduation, I thought it would be fitting for this week’s quotes to be going after your best life and creating your destiny in this world.
